Am I stuck with what's basically a useless currency?Ĭommentaire de jjanchan Marks of Honor are used to purchase various PvP armor set ensembles and weapon arsenals, which add transmog appearances to your collection.Įach of the sections below outlines the various ensembles and arsenals available. So what exactly can I do with this currency? I already own the mounts - I farmed enough honor in the old system to get those. Therefore, since the gear is basically unusable, the only other use for these would be to buy the "arsenal" thing to get the Legion tmog appearances.but by the time season 2 is over with, I'll likely have all that gear. So, tmog looks to be out of the question, and I'm certainly not going to be doing any PVP in that ilvl 74 gear. ![]() ![]() And after some consternation, here's what I think I've found out:ġ) I can buy the actual items from the vendor in SW with Marks of Honor, and I can have it in my inventory, but while I can actually wear the gear, I cannot tmog into it.Ģ) You can go to Area 52 and buy "replica" versions of these items that can be used in tmog, but only if you actually unlocked the pvp achievements back in vanilla (prior to when I played WoW). I was looking forward to going to SW to buy a set of old PVP gear for some sweet-looking tmog. To interact with the mammoth vendor the alliance will need to be in control of Wintergrasp.Ĭommentaire de AmgrodI just started PVP'ing in earnest in the last couple of weeks, and have 21 of these mark's of honor. Thanthaldis Luireneige in Hillsbrad Foothills To interact with the mammoth vendor the Horde will need to be in control of Wintergrasp. Stay strong, fellow pacifists - we'll get those sweet old items one day!Ĭommentaire de KittayThis doesn't seem to be updated in the database yet, but the mounts that were previously sold for Honor points are too sold for Marks of honor now, for 15x each. It also gives you a Crate with a chance of a further drop, so you may get lucky and get two for one. It's laborious to grind them this way, but you can do it at any time. This quest is slow to finish but is repeatable - as soon as you've finished it, you will automatically pick it up again and can carry on. There is also the option of Ashran, which gives you a slow but reliable way of acquiring a single badge at a time for Ashran Dominance (H)/ Ashran Dominance (A). This quest can be done once per character on the week it's up, meaning you can get 5 badges per character and mail them to whichever character needs them the most. Five badges is the maximum price for most weapons and will get you a couple of armour items if you're choosey. The quest A Call to Battle is available every few weeks from Archmage Timear and provides five badges for the relatively straightforward task of winning 4 battlegrounds - this can be done in any battleground, either by random or specific choice, so you can at least pick one you find relatively painless and work away at it over the course of a week. Blizzard is inventing new and interesting ways to make my pain stackable! Hurray!Įdited to add a slightly more optimistic note:Īs things have been updated and added they've provided one or two less finicky ways of acquiring these badges. Now I'm playing a part of the game I don't enjoy - PvP - to play another game which I don't enjoy - gambling. Even if you lost your time wasn't totally wasted. If I'd known this system would be as RNG-based as it is, I would have farmed for Honor Points before Legion hit.Īt least with Honor Points it felt fair - it was sometimes painful, but you could set yourself a goal and slowly work towards it. ![]() Commentaire de guishirI'm not someone who finds PvP fun, so this is just really tiresome. ![]()
